The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Wife of the late Heinz Schoppmann. Daughter of the late Otto and the late Anna (née Heinch) Meier. Beloved mother of Paul (Diane) of St-Charles and Walter (Mary) of Grimsby. Dear sister of Kurt Hecht (Magda), Liselotte (Karl Hoffmeister), Ursulla (Heinz Hell), AnnaMarie(Franz Knospe) and Klaus Meier (Elke). Predeceased by her siblings Helmut (Agnes), Horst, Gerhard (Helen), Manfred (Monika), Wolfgang (Helga) and Hannelore. Cherished grandmother of Cynthia, Heinz, Emily, Bailey and great-grandmother of Sophie, Ian, Nathan, Matt and Jacob. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Waltraud enjoyed gardening and quilting with her friends in St-Charles. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, on Thursday, September 21st, 2017 from 4-7:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel.
