BEAN, Mary (nee: Pawlitski)
The family announces with sorrow her passing on April 1st, 2018 at McCulloch Hospice at the age of 93, of cancer. She left on the wings of a spring butterfly and no longer will suffer. Daughter of the late Stanley and the late Nellie Pawlitski. Predeceased in 2000 by her husband of 56 years, Henry Bean. Loving mother of Bonnie Violino (Jack Rivet) of Lake Panache and Dennis Bean (Sue) of Oshawa. Cherished grandmother of 4, Jason Violino (Shauna Cromwell), Jonathon Violino (Ashley), James Bean (Anne Leblanc) and Scott Bean (Anetka Biesiada). Great-grandmother “Baba” of 6, Tyler Leblanc-Bean, Taylor Leblanc-Bean, Shaden Bean and soon to be born great-granddaughter, Logan Violino, Lacey Violino and Sean Cromwell. She is survived by her brother Marcel Pawlitski (Lee) and by her sister Nadia Dudar. Predeceased by her siblings Lena, Ann, Rose, Florence, Mike(Violet), Jean, Leo and Tony (Celia). She is also survived by her sisters-in-law from the Bean family Evelyn Marion and Kay Donahue. Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and especially her niece Ruth Mills and her best friend Gerri Matte. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, quilting, decorating, cooking, entertaining and shopping with her daughter. She was known for her perogies and cabbage rolls which were unsurpassed. She made friends easily and especially loved being with young people. She spent her life studying astrology, spirituality and meditation and was always helping someone. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the care and caring during her two month stay at McCulloch Hospice, by the staff, Doctors, Nurses, PSW’s and volunteers, who not only cared for her but for her family members as well. She once said, being there was the closest she could ever be to heaven. There will be no visitation or service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
