It is with great sorrow that the family announces his sudden passing in St-Charles on Sunday, June 17th, 2018 at the age of 57 years. Cherished son of Jacqueline (née Bibeau) and of the late Thomas Pothier. Beloved husband and best friend of Nancy (née Fleet) Pothier. Loving father of Tanya Dussiaume (Pat), Thomas Pothier (Brigitte) and Rene Jr Pothier. Pepère to Justin and Sophie and Pocka to Xander. Dear brother of Jeanne St-Louis (Andre), Yvette MacLellan (Jim), Pauline Noël and by his brother in arms and partner in crime Daniel Pothier (Mitch). Predeceased by his brother Claude. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, especially by his godchild Brad, extended family and friends. Rene was a volunteer firefighter for the community of St-Charles for many years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family will receive relatives and friends at the St-Charles Community Centre on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 22nd, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St-Charles Borromée Church, St-Charles. Donations can be made by cheque to St-Charles Firefighter’s Association.
