The family announces with great sorrow his passing at home in Hanmer, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the age of 60 years. Beloved son of Gudrun van Laaten (née Engelkes) of Hanmer and the late Ibeling Jan van Laaten (predeceased in 2007). Loving brother of Metje Sprague of Hanmer. Sadly missed by his niece Arynn Sprague of Hanmer. Lovingly remembered by family overseas. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment to take place in Valley East Cemetery. Cremation to take place at the COOPERATIVE CREMATORIUM, Chelmsford.
