It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Friday, September 8th, 2017 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Lorraine Luciw Bodnar (née Foucault). Dear son-in-law of Adrien (predeceased) and Aline Foucault and brother-in-law of Pauline (Jim Birchall) and Nicole Foucault (Chris Carveth). Loving father of Helen Bodnar (Dwayne Taylor), Alex Bodnar and stepfather of John Luciw (Pati Wilkinson) and Daryl Luciw. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan Bodnar, Horatio Luciw, Paige Luciw, Alexie Wilkinson, Zarah Wilkinson and Olivia Luciw. Predeceased by his brother John Popaduik. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Larry was a prankster at heart, always out to make an impression. He traveled far and wide, collecting special artifacts and worldwide knowledge. An astute business man, who owned and operated Contractors Wholesale. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially entertaining and spending time on his pontoon boat at the cottage. He will be greatly missed by his feline friend Butterscotch and his canine companion Rambo. He also held a very special place in his heart for his late dog Buddy. Cremation to take place at the Cooperative Crematorium. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, on Friday, September 15th, 2017 from 2-5:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Glad Tidings Church, Sudbury. Donations by cheque can be made to Pet Save or the elevator fund at Paroisse Notre-Dame du Rosaire (Blezard Valley).
