Today the world lost a great cowboy. Honey of a husband to Jenny (née Kerstens) of 34 years. Best and oldest friend of his son Shane (Jessica). Cher Pépère to Evalee and Adelyn - the sunshines of his heart. Beloved son of Leonard (predeceased) and Rita (née Tranchemontagne). Brother of Richard (Suzanne), Gisele (predeceased), Donald (Lilliane), Huguette (Yvon predeceased), Bernadette, Yvon (Diane), Guy (predeceased), Marianne (Ray), Irene (predeceased) and Luc (Penny). Beloved son-in-law to the late Michael Kerstens and the late Gail (née Bertrand) Kerstens. Also special brother-in-law to Jim (Sandra) and Elizabeth. Uncle and Great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by many aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, fellow truckers and all horse riders. Denis was an avid devoted horseman competing in Western Games throughout Ontario and Quebec for more than 40 years. His sportsmanship and competitiveness, his willingness to share his experience to up and coming riders will be terribly missed by all. Surely he is competing on the best horses in heaven. RIP mon chum, I will love you for the rest of my days. The family will receive friends and relative at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford, on Friday, September 15th, 2017 from 7-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, September 16th, 2017 from 10-1 p.m. Donation can be made by cheque or online to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
