METCALF, Samuel Arnold “Poppy”



The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 at Pioneer Manor at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by his wife Doris Metcalf (née Heatherington) and companion to Dorothy Fortin. Son of the late Alvin Metcalf and Hilda Metcalf (née Watt). Loving father to Cindy Jo Fauvelle (Neil) and Darwin Metcalf (Kimberley). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered as Poppy to his grandchildren Derick Hebert (Tasha), Ashley Lemieux (Eric) and Shawna Metcalf. Also his great-grandchildren Brooklynn, Avery, Liam and Hayden. Dear brother of Jean Schmeler (Dave) and Grace Ireland (Ken). Predeceased by his brother Gilbert Metcalf (late Iris). Special thanks to Pioneer Manor staff for providing the best care and compassion towards Sam “Arnie”, it didn’t go unnoticed.
