Peacefully passed away with her family by her side at Extendicare York on Monday, December 12th , 2016 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Edgar Couillard and Rhéal Thibeault. Loving mother of Suzanne Beauchamp (Rick) from B.C., Fernand, Rita Poulin (Bob), Gilbert, Rick (Suzanne), Ronald and Gayle Thibeault all of Sudbury. Predeceased by her son Marcel Couillard. Daughter of the late Edmond and Eva (née Boileau) Pilon. Dear sister of Estelle Moncion (late Come). Predeceased by her siblings Lionette Dubois, Edmond Pilon, Florent Pilon and Evamai Coutu. Imelda leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her early years, she enjoyed going to the Bingo and singing with her boys around the bonfires. The family would like to thank the staff on 5th floor at Extendicare York. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Monday, December 19th, 2016 after 10:30 a.m. followed by a service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Donations in Imelda’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society by cheque or online. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
