It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at the age of 82 years. Son of the late Octave and the late Rosa (née Mathias) Gauthier. Predeceased by his late wife Adrienne (née Therrien) Gauthier and first wife Aline (née Pomerleau) Gauthier. Loving father of Claude, Marc (Betty), Nicole (Guy), Alex-John Cardinal and Gisèle. Dear brother of Emily “Mimi”. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Cherished grandfather of Julie (Céline), Victoria (Jesse), Kevin, Andrea (Tyson) and great-grandfather of Kylinn. André will be remembered for his love of fishing and hunting. The family would like to thank nurses and staff at Extendicare Falconbridge for their kind and compassionate care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Thursday, February 1st, 2018 from 2 to 3 p.m. with prayers to follow at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC) camp fund can be made by cheque or online at www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
