The family announces with sorrow his sudden death at home in Noëlville on Monday, December 17th, 2012 at the age of 61 years. Beloved husband of Alice Viau (née Roy) of Noëlville. Son of the late Léo and the late Cécile Viau (née Roy). Loving father of Sylvie Sawdon of Rockland and Julie Viau of Kingston. Sadly missed by his grandson Nicolas Normand Eckford. He is survived by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives, in-laws, especially Buck, Butch and friends. Normand will be remembered for being a generous kind hearted man who was always ready to lend a helping hand. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 22nd, 2012 at 11 a.m. in St-David Church, Noëlville. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.
