The family remembers with sorrow the death of Léonne, Monday, December 24th, 2013 at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Honorio, in 2005. Daughter of the late Georges Pharand and of the late Valéda (née Couillard). Beloved mother of Lizette Gascon (Roger), Réjean (Paulette), Georges (Roseline) and Guy (Martha) all of Hanmer. Cherished grandmother of Marc Gascon (Diane), Georges Gascon (Gisèle), Ginette (Daniel Thériault), Christian Harrison (Héléna), Zinnia Harrison (Nick Ferraro), Sarah Harrison (Zach Bronson), Natalie Harrison (Stéphane Bernard), Sylvie, Maurice and Allain. Lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren Tanya, Chanelle, Steven, Georges, Tiffanie, Edric, Fiona, Noah, Aidan, Sylvain, Justin, Mathieu and Allain Jr. Sister to Sylvio Pharand (Georgette predeceased) of Sudbury and Ramona Proulx (Léo) of Windsor. Predeceased by Osias Pharand (Cora), Polidor Pharand (Pauline), Noëlla Saaski, Lorraine Chaput (Cyril) and Ernest Pharand (Germaine). Sister-in-law to John, Adelia, Paul, Antoine, Roseanna, Angelina and Albertine all predeceased. She also leaves many nephews, nieces and friends. She retired from the Radar Base after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the K of C 5005 for 52 years and a member of the ‘Club Age d’Or’ Hanmer. Léonne was a beautiful lady with a beautiful smile. She was a ‘Chic’ dresser. On one of her many shopping days, she bought an elegant two piece suit. When her husband of 62 years saw her, he said: ‘You look like a queen.’ …and he was right! Mom, we miss you and always will. The family will receive relatives and friends at St-Jacques Church, Hanmer on Saturday, May 18th, 2013 after 12:15 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be follow at 1 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer.
