It is with heavy hearts and tearful eyes that we say goodbye to our 51 year old son, brother, uncle and friend. Richard was a gentle man with a heart of gold. He was simply our great big teddy bear. Beloved son of Carmen and the late Ronald VanSantvoort. Cherished brother of Dennis (Jocelyne), Nicole Coleman (Barry) and Monique Timms (Howard). Richard will be forever missed by his nephews Pierre, Jasmin and Jesse and by nieces Chantal, Maegan and Kaitlyn. Also mourning his passing are his lifelong friends René and Luc. Richard was a kind, warm hearted person, with a pain threshold beyond belief. He is now in a better place, with his father by his side, free of pain at last. In keeping with Richard’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
