It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Jane Wozny at the age of 51 on February 1, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her spouse and soul mate Tammy Bourque, and by her children who adored her; Simon (Giacomo) of Toronto and Andrew and Carley, both of Sudbury. Loving daughter of John and Patricia Simon (nee Taillefer) of Sault Ste Marie and daughter-in-law to Jim and Belle Bourque of Nova Scotia. Dear sister of John Simon and Jennifer Braunwart (Jefferey). Sadly missed by her best friends Donny Jobin and Monique Ferron-Jobin. Lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces & nephews, relatives and friends. Jane graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1985. Jane's passion for nursing was a blessing to the residents and staff of Pioneer Manor. To her colleagues she was a mentor, a support and their go-to person. Her goal was always to ensure that residents received the highest quality of care. She was a true and compassionate friend to all who knew her, and all will miss her warmth and beautiful smile. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Monday, February 3rd. 2014 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory (by cheque only) to Ride to Conquer Cancer through her daughter Carley who will ride this summer would be appreciated.
