It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing on Wednesday, May 07, 2014 in Sudbury at the age of 97 years. Daughter of the late Joseph and late Délina (née Rancourt) Pilon. Predeceased by her husband Georges Viau. Loving mother of Gilles (Réjeanne), Rachel Coulombe (Roland), André (Pierrette), Estelle Vanier (late Maurice) and Denis (Lise). Dear sister of Marguerite Ethier (Aurèle) and Claire Vaillancourt (Raymond). Predeceased by her siblings Adrienne, Paul, Roland, Gabriel and Victor. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family wishes to express a thank you to the staff at the Elizabeth Centre for the care given to Mom during her stay. In keeping with Cécile’s wishes a private family service was held. As an expression of condolences, donations (by cheque only) to the Alzheimer Society are appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
