The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Thursday, July 24th, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Alda (née Lavoie) Arcand of Sudbury. Son of the late Albert and of the late Yvonne (née Dubuc) Arcand. Loving father of Maurice (Goran Ciric) of Toronto and Daniel of Ottawa. Predeceased by all his siblings, Philippe, Fernand, Jeanne, Jean-Marc, Bérangère, Laurier & Jean-Guy. Loving grandfather of Justin, Julianne and Julien. Devoted brother–in-law to his dear Alda’s family. Roland was a member of the “Club Amical” and was a former goaltender in the Metro Hockey League. He was an avid outdoorsman, golfer and fisherman. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 27th, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf, Sudbury. As expressions of sympathy, donations (by cheque only) to the Canadian Lung Association or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
