Avis de décès pour Antonio Alfarano

The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Husband of the late Evelyn (née Waiwood) Alfarano (predeceased in 2011). Son of the late Francesco and of the late Emilia (née Venti) Alfarano. Predeceased by his brother Nicola Alfarano (Palma Ienco of Italy) and by his sister Maria Alfarano (late Giuseppe Leuzzi). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews Antonio, Francesco, Angelina, Nicolina, Maria, Antonella, late Francesco, Cosimina, Emilia, Ilario and by many great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends. Antonio battled in World War II for 5 years and later on received an award for his outstanding service. At a young age, he immigrated to France; there he studied Civil Engineering and lived for 5 years. Afterwards, he relocated to Canada working as a Civil Engineer for over 30 years at Falconbridge. He was a hard working man who enjoyed spending time on his farm with his wife, nieces, great nieces and great nephews. As per Antonio’s request, there will be no visitation. Interment at Maplecrest Cemetery, Dowling on Saturday August 9th, 2014 at 2 p.m. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Chelmsford.
