It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Pauline Marguerite Knapp (nee Leblanc) in the comfort of her home on the morning of Tuesday, October 7th, 2014 on the Feast of our Lady of the Rosary . Beloved wife of Richard (her soul mate & best friend for 42 years). Daughter of the late Omer & Anna (Miron) Leblanc. Loving mother of David (Maria), Daniel (Jessica), Julie (Mitch) and Andrew. Cherished grandmother of Kayla and Noah, Ethan and Vanessa and Kennedy. Dear sister of Maurice (Moe) Leblanc predeceased (1969) & twin sister Marie predeceased (newborn). Dear sister-in-law of Naomi Taylor & Will Knapp. Will be sadly missed by her special cousins Georgette, Lola, Colette & Lise, Diana & special friends Bernie & Sue Oliver. Her true friend “Shep”, her sheltie, will miss her dearly. Pauline and Richard and family attended “Paroisse L’Annonciation” until Pauline became ill; the family then transferred to “St. Andrew the Apostle”. Pauline had a great devotion to Our Blessed Mother & the Rosary. She was a member of the funeral choir & the CWL. Pauline’s special talent was baking pies; everyone said her crust was the flakiest.
Pauline would like to thank so many very special people for their prayers and support: Church friends -Val, Laura, Imelda, and Yvette; neighbours Guy & Claudette for their generosity; Dr. Lopez, Lizette, Dr. Pearce & all the compassionate nurses in the chemo room and the nurses from Bayshore; A special thank you to “Sharon M.”; and a very special thank you to Father Sam for his visits & moral support. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, October 10th, 2014 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic church on Barrydowne. Cremation will follow at a later date with a burial service at Sudbury Roman Catholic cemetery on Lasalle Blvd.
