It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing on Saturday, January 10th, 2015 in Sudbury at the age of 74 years. Son of the late William “Bill” and late Mildred (Bucknell) Wellington. Beloved husband of 45 years to Colleen (Lagree) Wellington. Loving father of Donna Hopkin (Jeff), Barbara Courtney, Kim Cropper, Blaine Morris, Jennifer Wellington (Kevin) and Son-in-Law Eugene Courtney. Cherished Papa of Jamie (Karina), Dylan (Stacey), Megan (Richard), Virginia, Eugene, Brandon, Jake, Enya, Sara-Grace, Morgan and Katilaya. Dear brother of Raymond Wellington. Predeceased by his sister Faye Bellefeuille (Neil). Sadly missed by his nephew Troy, his nieces Sheila and Cynthia, his extended family and many friends. Bob was a Veteran and a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 230. Bob was very active in his community where he coached bowling, ringette, and hockey. Bob will be most remembered by his grandchildren for being the toughest diving judge and the master of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76, 1553 Weller St., Sudbury for a Celebration of Life beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday January 13th, 2015.
Donations in Bob’s memory can be made (by cheque only) to the Lung Association. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
