The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Married to the love of his life Yolande (née Pilon) Jones for 62 wonderful years. Predeceased by his parents John and Artimise (née Raymond) Jones. Loving father of René (Denise) and Brian (Gail) both of Sudbury. Predeceased by his siblings. Cherished grandfather of Julie Jones-Suchoplas (James) of Azilda, Christopher Jones (Ashley Pine), Randy Jones, Scott Jones all of Sudbury and great-grandfather of Kanen, Mikael, Avery and Abigail. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Moe worked for 38 years at Falconbridge Nickel Mines and then enjoyed 30 years of retirement doing what he liked best. He loved playing guitar and singing in his band “Moe Jones and the Country Pick Ups”. In his younger years he could be found entertaining in bars, for weddings, and anniversary celebrations. Later in life he played at the Minnow Lake Legion and for the last 13 years at the Lockerby Legion. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Redeemer Church.
