It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing on April 19th 2015, at the age of 82 years. Daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (née Hardy) Oshkopekeda. Predeceased by her children Sharon and Evelyn Wawia. Loving mother of Randy Wawia, Jon Wawia, Maria Blackhawk (Melvin), Sandra Wawia and Sylvia Kerfont (Yves). Predeceased by her siblings Barney (Darlene), Malcom, Abraham, Annastasia, Martha, Louise, Regina, Maria, Victoria, Rosalie and Liza Oshkopekeda. Beloved sister of Marcelline Lukasek. Predeceased by her grandchildren Darryl Blackhawk and Brandon Wawia. Cherished grandmother of James, Candace, Andrew and Alex Wawia, Melvin and Lyric Blackhawk, Courtney Fenell (Scott) as well as Nicholas, Sean and Lacey Wawia. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren Austin Blackhawk and David Wawia. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle blvd., Sudbury, Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:30 p.m. in the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Chapel.
