Peacefully passed away in Sturgeon Falls on Sunday, April 3rd, 2016 at the age of 62 years. Cherished daughter of Fernande (née Gauthier) Chartrand and of the late Rémi Chartrand. Beloved wife of 44 years to Claude Wissell. Loving mother of Julie Lock (William “Bill”) and René Wissell (Emily). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Melissa, Vanessa, Billy, Westley and Laina. Dear sister of Robert (Suzanne), Aimé (Barbara), Gilbert (Fernande), Daniel, Rejean (late Evelyn), Paulette Brisson (Gaëtan) and Paul (Angèle). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Claudette was a passionate traveler, enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She loved spending time at the cottage at Barlow Lake. She was an avid gardener and took much pride in her flower garden. Having been an educator for 25 years, she will be remembered by many for holding a special spot in her heart for children. She will also be remembered for having been very organized, a stickler for schedules and keeping in vogue with the latest fashion but mostly for her love of children. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, April 8th, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 9th, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St-Charles Borromée Church, St-Charles.
