In loving memory of Hector “Hec” Gervais, who passed away with his family by his side in Sudbury on Monday, April 4th,2016 at the age 94. Hector was married to his childhood love of his life Audrey “Pet” (nee Furlong) for 73 years on June 17th, 1943 in Coniston where Hector grew up. However he was born in Sturgeon Falls on February 19, 1922. Son of the late Leonard and late Anna (nee Martin) Gervais. Loving father of Robert “Bob” (Carmen) and Guy (Sharon Massicotte) (late Paulette Collin). Cherished grandfather of Ann (Pat Vince), Sandy (Charlette McCracken), Barbara (Remi Morelleo), Julie (Dale Kingsley), Neil Gervais and Sylvie (Dave Duschene). Great-grandfather of Brandon, Sheldon Kingsley and Gabrielle Duschene. Dear brother of Armand (late Theresa) and Isabelle Ladourante (late Roy). Predeceased by his siblings Jean-Paul (late Ida), Marie Cousineau (late Leo) and Desneiges “Denny” Morin (late Alcide). Dad will be missed also by his brother-in-law’s Arnold “Bud” Furlong (Gertrude). Predeceased by his brother-in-law Charlie Bush and by his sister-in-law Aileen Charron (late Lucien). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Hector and Audrey loved watching the Maple Leaf’s and Blue Jay games together. They enjoyed there summer cottage, going to Florida and curling in their younger years. Hector will be remembered for his lovely Greenhouses. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Thursday, April 7th, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Chapel. Donations can be made by cheque or online to the Alzheimer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association.
