It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Friday, April 1st, 2016 at the age of 74 years. George was the son of late Angus and Margaret (née Glennie) Thurrott of Stewiacke, NS. Beloved husband of 26 years to Beverly Thurrott (née Schneider). Loving father of James Schneider (Angie) of Sudbury, George of BC, Darlene (predeceased), and Daphne (predeceased). Cherished grandfather of Talan, Jayce and Cheryl. Lovingly remembered by his brothers Keith (Marylou) of Richmond, ON, Fred (Millie) of Hilden, NS, Cameron (Maryann) of Parham, ON and Wally (predeceased), his sisters Dorothy of Dartmouth, NS, Beryl (Jonathon) of Cambridgeshire, UK, Ruby (Wilfred) of Nine Mile River, NS, and Ella (predeceased). May he rest in peace in the garden of the Lord. In keeping with George’s wishes there will be no visitation. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
