The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the age of 92 years. Wife of the late Thomas Carrey. Daughter of the late Arthur and the late Blanche (née Watier) Simard. Loving mother of Michel Carrey, Maurice Carrey (Cathy) both of Sudbury, Patrick Carrey (Gaëtane), Raymond Carrey (Josée) both of Ottawa, Normand Carrey (Helen) of Halifax and Joanne Porter (Wayne) of Curve Lake. Dear sister of Stéphane Simard (late Connie and late Henriette) of Chelmsford, Thérèse Lebel (late Roméo) of Ottawa, Philippe Simard (Agathe) of Sudbury, Roméo Simard (Ruth) of California and Georgette Paquette (Norman) of Val Therese. Predeceased by her sister Rita Bédard (Paul of Wawa) and by her brother Jean-Paul Simard (late Yolande) and Laurent (late Janine). Predeceased by her first born grandson Tommy Jay Carrey. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Carrey (Jack Portelance), Natalie Carrey(Pat), Valerie Carrey (Justin) and Emilie Carrey all of Sudbury, Jean-François Carrey (Marie-Pierre), Nicholas Carrey (Nadine), Andrée Carrey, Jason Carrey and Chantal Carrey all of Ottawa, Stéphanie Hunt (Dustin) of Lakefield, Kenny Porter (Holly) of Ennismore and Mélanie Carrey (Phil) of Toronto. Cherished great-grandmother of Brady, Brianna, Jaxon, Nevyn, Marine, Sasha, Noah, Brady, Lily, Annabelle, Alexandre and Finley. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, Sudbury.
