Surrounded by her loving family at Health Sciences North, our Angel received her wings on Friday, June 3, 2016. The heart and rock of our family, she leaves behind her loving husband and best friend of 58 years, Marcel Dufresne. Cherished mother of Monique, Raymond, Lise (Robin Levesque), Marc, Paul (Sue), and Guy. Her pride and joy of her soul was to be encircled by the love of her grand-children, Sarah-Lyn Leonard (Derek), Eric Dufresne, Corey Dufresne (Brittney), and Celeste Dufresne (Chris Eadie). Precious Memère to her great-grandchildren, Emmet, Brielle, Makenzie, Zakarie and Isaac. Daughter of Blanche (Rivard) and Leonard Roy (both predeceased). Loving sister of Ronald Roy (Sue) and the late Lucille Roy. Will be sadly missed by special family friends, Richard and Lucie Poitras. She will always be remembered as an avid Hockey and Ringuette Mom, and as a Dance Grandma. She enjoyed her regular BINGO outings, and was a devoted volunteer for many years for the Centre de Santé (Sudbury), various church teas and many other local organizations. Her deepest strength, energy and desire were the unconditional love of family which she instilled in every one of us. Every holiday and events were celebrated with her family. Her motto was always “The more the merrier”. Many thanks to the numerous Doctors, nurses and PSWs at Health Sciences North. Fondest appreciations to the CCAC and Care Partners for the unbelievable help provided at home. The family will received relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph, Hanmer, Monday, June 6, 2016 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the St-Jacques Church, Hanmer. Donations (by cheque only) can be made to the North East Community Care Access Centre.
