The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Husband of late Laurette (née Léger) Peters. Beloved son of the late Abram and late Aganetta (née Schmidt) Peters. Cherished father of Jackson Peters (Penny) of Hanmer and Brian Peters (Glenn Lloyd) of Sudbury. He also tragically lost his middle son Patrick in 1983 (wife Annette). Dear brother of Peter (late Barbara) and Donald (Jenny), both of St Catharines, Mary Tomlinson of Arizona, Nettie Wodneski (Ron) and Margaret Hughes (Tom), both of Peterborough and Linda Fisher of Niagara Falls. Predeceased by his siblings Cornelius (late Gerry), John (late Tilly), Tina Atkinson (Bud of Jordan Station), Anne Hodgins (Ken of Jordan Station) and Susan of Peterborough. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Alison (Debbie), Jessica (Marc Leclair), step-grandsons Conrad (Tina), Christopher (Stephane) and great-grandchildren Isla and Scarlet, nieces, nephews, family and friends. For Years, while living in Creighton Mine, he was a skilled miner, sign painter, artist, and loved music. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, Sudbury.
