The family announces with great sorrow his passing at home in Coniston, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the age of 67 years. Son of the late Omer and the late Lucienne (née Gaudette) Desormeaux. Beloved husband of Madeleine (née Pilon) Desormeaux of Coniston. Loving father of Michelle Piette (Andrew) and Marc Desormeaux (Joanne Dorion) both of Sudbury. Dear brother of Gerry (Doris), Roger (Françoise) both of Wahnapitae, Dolorèse Bérubé (late Albert), Lucille Vachon (late Marcel), Anne Bernier (Donald), Denis (Nancy), Philippe (late Maggie), Robert all of Sudbury, Richard (Bonnie) of Tobermory, Claire Sicoli (Billy) of Sault-Ste-Marie, Normand (Sam) of Toronto, Armand (Micheline) of Markstay and Patrick (Carole) of Coniston. Predeceased by his brother Larry. Cherished grandfather of Maxim and Jaxon Piette. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. André was a proud member of the Sudbury Classic Cruisers. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Friday, August 19, 2016 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci Church, Coniston.
