It is with heavy hearts that the family formally announces the untimely passing of Ryan Reginald Ross 34 years of age at Edmonton, AB on April 25th, 2016. Son of Randy Ross of Azilda and Sheryl Ross (nee Masear) of Sudbury. Loving brother of Meahgan and Uncle of Talyssa. Grandson of the late Reginald Ross (1964) and of Joyce Ross Forest (nee Blais) and Maurice Forest. Predeceased by his grandparents Melvin Masear of Edmonton,AB and Constance Lonsberry of Dinsmore, Sask. Nephew of Michael Ross (late Cindy), Doreen Landry (Yvon), Sharon Kozub (Ralph), Sheila Ross (Pat Arsenault), Brian Masear (Penny) of Calgary, AB and Shelly Ferguson (late Brian) of Edmonton, AB. Predeceased by his canine “boys” Chaos and Havoc. Ryan graduated from Lasalle S.S. and from there went to work for Provincial Doors Inc. where he became a very proficient overhead door technician mentored by longtime family friends David Cole Sr. and “Big Mike” Carr (late). He later moved to his birthplace in Edmonton AB and became a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 1325 and worked as a scaffolder where he enjoyed his work immensely. Ryan met and became acquainted with Bill Ranford of the Edmonton Oilers as a young boy while living in Edmonton and was inspired by him to play goal. He played minor hockey for the Coniston Flames at the bantam and midget level. He enjoyed camping and fishing along with any type of outdoor motor sports. He was very successful winning numerous trophies in 2009 with car racing with his prized “NIZMO” at Toronto Motor Sports in Cayuga, ON. He will be forever missed by his family and friends and the “apple of his eye” niece Talyssa or “munchkin” as Ryan would call her. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. He will be buried at the Lasalle Cemetery at a later date.
