The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Yvette (née Rocheleau) Pelland. Son of the late Rodolphe and the late Annette (née Sylvestre) Pelland. Loving father of Roland (Marie), Hélène Poulin (Michel), Ghyslaine Soucy (Paul) and Léo (Paulette). Cherished grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 4. Dear brother of, Rita Campeau (late Gaston), Suzanne Sovinsky (late John), Françoise Ménard (Gérald), Lucille Beaulieu (Roméo) and Yollande Drouillard. Predeceased by his sisters Huguette Quesnel (Ronald), Thérèse Perreault (late Gérard), Jacqueline Simoneau (late Gérald), and by his brothers Marcel (Bibianne), Jacques (late Juliette), Jean-Paul (Renée), Jean-Guy (Carmen), and Roger (late Juliette). Gilles worked at INCO, and later on became Mayor for Rayside Balfour until his retirement. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, November 25, 2016 at (time) at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf, Sudbury.
