It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Sunday, December 11th, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Thomas Prisque and by her parents Joseph and Mary (née Buttineau) Desjardins. Loving mother of Marlene St-Onge (Mike), Louise Rodrigue (Moe), Kathy Lefebvre (Mike), Suzanne Lefebvre (Marc) and Theresa Dolomont (Darren). Predeceased by her son James Prisque (Monique). Cherished grandmother of Steven, Mark, André, Michelle, Patrick, Liane, William, Owen, Marc, Marty and Mellie. Great-grandmother of Andrée, Daréane, Deven, Sasha, Bryson and baby Reid to come. Predeceased by her great-granddaughter Avril. Dear sister of 8 brothers and 6 sisters. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. For Rita, her family came first and what gave her great pleasure was knitting for them. She enjoyed her summers in Britt camping and most recently her Friday outings with the girls. She always had a smile and a GREAT sense of humour. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford on Thursday, December 15th, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. followed by a service in the Chapel at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque or online to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
