The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury at Health Sciences North, Thursday, December 29th, 2016 at the age of 75 years. Val was born on February 9th, 1941 and raised in Cartier. Val was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Beloved husband of Bev Rouleau (née Sweet) of 52 years. Loving father of Rick (Manuela) and Cory Caron (late Jean). Proud grandfather of Jordan (Amanda), Justine, and Billy. Great-grandfather to Tegan and Trent, the apple of his eyes. He was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Petronille Rouleau. Predeceased by his brothers Gerald (Murielle), Victor (late Lois), Ernest (late Isobel) and by his sisters Evelyn Rowe (late Ken), and Laurette Brosseau (late Dorsina). Loving brother-in-law of Gail (Larry Puro), Wendy (Roger Gauvreau), and Lynn (Art Oakes). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Val was an avid Montreal Canadians Fan, and loved the outdoors especially fishing and hunting. He worked for 28 years for Falconbridge. Val will be always remembered for his sense of humor. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 2nd, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St-Bartholomew Church, Levack. Donations (by cheque only) to the Onaping Falls Community Centre. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home.
