It is with extremely heavy hearts and profound sadness that we, the very priviledged children of Caterina Marando, announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Pioneer Manor. Daughter of the late Domenico and of the late Teresa (née Stalteri) Mandarano. Caterina was an amazing Wife, Mother, Nonna, Great Nonna and was loved by many family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Domenico and cherished grandson, Justin. The now have her safely in their arms. Caterina leaves behind 7 children; Tony (Terrie), Terry Belanger (Robert), Toni Messenger (James), Jim Vincent (Monique Ferguson), Nick (Virginia) Rose McKinnon (Bill) and Joseph (Cathy). Nonna will be missed by her grandchildren; Jana (Joey), Kalee (Robin), Ryan, Kelsey, Collin, Jamie, Lauren, Jason, Corrie and Christopher and her great-granddaughters Brynn and Mila. Mom was so blessed to be able to have these last few months being safely and compassionately cared for by the amazing staff on the Ramsey Wing, Pioneer Manor. She was treated with such respect, dignity and grace; and for that, we are forever greatful. We will have eternal love for Jola and Mel, who cherished ``Nonna`` as much as we did. We will also be forever grateful to the nursing staff, especially the two Rachel’s and Michelle. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Sunday January 8, 2017 from 12:30 p.m to 3 p.m. A funeral service will be held, Sunday January 8, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel, Sudbury.
