The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Jeanne (née Newberry) Mallette of 62 years. Son of the late Roland and the late Yvette (née Cloutier) Mallette. Loving father of Richard (Joanne) and Denis (Lyne). Predeceased by his daughter Marie. Dear brother of Robert (late Joan), Marcel (Marlene) and Ron (Carole). Cherished grandfather Michel (Maxime), André, Steve, Daniel (Kayla) and great-grandfather of Tessa and Pauline Doucette. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Guy was a proud member of the Club d’Age d’Or of Azilda. He was also a long time member of Canadian Power Squadron. He enjoyed his time boating Georgian Bay and the North Channel. He worked at Inco as Chief Operating Engineer for 36 years. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ste-Agnès Church, Azilda. Donations can be made online or by cheque to the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
