It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Gaëtan on Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 at the age of 70. Beloved husband to Jeannine Francoeur-Shank. Son of Yolanda Shank (née Bernard) and the late Alcide Shank. Loving father of Daniel (Shelley) Shank and Julie Shank (Steve). Step father of Sylvain Boissonneault (Courtney) and Carolyn Chevrette (Bill). He leaves behind his grandchildren Daisy, Heather, Jessica, Julina, Josée, Max, Marissa, Alysha, Julien, Emily, Arey-Elle, Jasmine and Alexandria and many great grandchildren. Dear brother of Guy Deforges (Diane), Mario (Estelle) Shank, Guy Shank and Gaile Savage. Predeceased by his brother Alcide Shank. Gaëtan will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Extendicare York. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 12th, 2017 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 R.R 15, Chelmsford, ON. A funeral service to take place Thursday at 11 a.m. at St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford.
