The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Monday, April 10, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Wife of the late Edouard Bissonette. Daughter of the late Clarence and the late Lina (née Cayen) Bisaillon. Beloved mother of Suzanne Prudence Menard (late Roger) of Hanmer and Jocelyne Bissonnette of Montreal. Predeceased by her son Raymond Bissonnette. Dear sister of Yvonne Sabourin of Hull, QC and Jean-Marc Bisaillon (Gisèle) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Maurice, Robert, Rodolphe, Pauline, Henriette, Thercyle and Lionel. Cherished grandmother of Marc Menard (Louise) of Val Thérèse, Chantal Fournier (Luc) of Hanmer, Mylène Menard-Finlay (Kathleen) of Owen Sound, Raymond « Jr. » Bissonnette, Julie Bissonnette, Joey Bissonnette and great-grandmother of Martin Menard, Mathieu Menard (Asha), Lucie Menard, Alexandre Fournier, Veronik Fournier, Nève Finlay. Carmen worked at the Post Office in Val Caron for many years, but will be remembered for her many years of volunteering with the hospitals, “Associée des soeurs de la charité d’Ottawa”, “Dames auxilliaires de Renfrew”, C.W.L., “Fédération des femmes canadiennes-françaises”, “Club Ste-Anne-des-Pins” and President of “Cercle des fermières”. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, Sudbury.
