The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of 60 years of Estelle (née Dionne) Porlier of Sudbury. Son of the late Gilbert and the late Alice (née Lacasse) Porlier. Loving father of Monique Porlier (Eugene) of Acton, Gisèle Bérubé (Michael) of Milton and Denis Porlier (Nicole) of Mississauga. Dear brother of Claire Belcourt (Leonard) of Hanmer, Bernadette Perrin (Raymond) of Copper Cliff and Richard (Ginette) of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Mélanie, Vincent and Gabriel. Claude served the Sudbury General Hospital for 27 years as a Director of Maintenance, and worked as an independent electrical contractor for 20 years. He also was a former director at Caisse Populaire Lasalle. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel, Sudbury.
