It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Son of the late Samuel and Fabiola Mallette. Predeceased by his wife Mary Mallette. Loving father of Clifford (Carmen). Predeceased by his daughter Deborah Alexander. Cherished grandfather of Troy Mallette (Lynn) and Treena Mallette (Joel Belanger). Great-grandfather of Tory, Trent and Ty. Beloved companion of Helvi Kitching. Predeceased by his sisters Yvonne Knight, Leona Bisson, Laura Smith, Aimie Francis, Lillian Lowry, Jeannine Laberge, Lorraine Farrow and by his brothers Edgar, Pete (late Beatrice), Alfie (late Velma), Ernie (Delores), and Raymond (Liz). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bert was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and trapping. In his younger years, he was a skilled hockey and baseball player. Gilbert retired after 42 years of service with Inco. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Onaping Falls Legion Branch 503. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
