The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the age of 97 years. Born in Blezard Valley, Ontario on July 15th, 1919. Husband of the late Anna (née Chartrand) Charbonneau. Son of the late Napoleon and the late Sara (née Chenier) Charbonneau. Loving father of Paul Jr. (Sharon) of Cranbrook, BC, Rolly (Brenda) of Belmont, ON, Ron (Sue) of Hanmer, Norm (Marianne) of Val Caron, Marcel (Diane) of Sudbury and Denis (Anne) of Azilda. Sadly missed by 23 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Paul enjoyed spending his time at the family cottage with his sons, family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids who always brought a smile to his face even on his final day. Special thanks to the staff at St-Joseph’s Villa Hillcrest neighbourhood and his two table mates Jeffrey Fairbrother and Gary Key for being his friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Monday, July 10th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 11th at 10:30 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury. Donations to St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church Renovation Fund would be greatly appreciated.
