Avis de décès pour Pauline Proulx

August 14, 1936 - September 20, 2017. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Proulx (nee Landry) at Health Sciences North surrounded by her devoted family. Pauline is survived by her adoring husband of 61 years Roland and her loving children D’Arcy (Sharon), Michel (Caroline), Suzanne (predeceased) and Claire (Jacques) and her adoring grandchildren André (Anna), David (Jessica), Gilbert (Crystal), Marc, Stéphanie, Julie (Dylan), Véronique (Céleste), Jonathan, Jeremy, and Cassidy as well as her beloved great-grandchildren Tristan, Félix, Kylin and Darwyn. Dear daughter of Joe and Cécile Landry both predeceased. Dear sister of Madeleine Carle and Lillianne Letang (Gary, predeceased), but predeceased by her brothers Albert (Lucille, also pre-deceased) and Roger (Cécile) as well as her brother-in-law René and sisters-in-law Blanche (George), Yolande (Bert), Denise (Gérard), parents-in-law Adéoda and Léonie all predeceased. Sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. After a first date to a Disney movie with the man of her dreams, one of the greatest love stories would unfold and from then on these two lovebirds would affectionately call one another Pidge and Tramp which ultimately yielded a large Lady and The Tramp memorabilia collection. She raised a family, including a niece and nephew (Diane and Raymond Last) while working as a secretary for the Ministry of Community and Social Services and later worked her way up to becoming a dedicated social worker, training newly graduated social workers for 22 years and was union president until her retirement in 1994. She loved the movies and never missed one Academy Award Show. She also loved knitting and sewing and for many years sold her artistic crafts at craft shows in the region. She will be remembered for her humanitarian work sewing blankets for the children at the hospital, clothing for children in third world countries, and knitting hats for the neonatal unit at the hospital among other selfless acts of kindness which stemmed from her deep spiritual beliefs. She was always very lucky at the slot machines, whether it be in Las Vegas or
the OLG slots. She and her husband religiously completed their daily crossword puzzle while her beloved cat Froufrou affectionately curled on her lap. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at HSN, especially Dr. Borkovich for her compassion and support. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Saturday, October 7th, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada can be made by cheque or online at www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
