It is with great sadness that Eddie’s family announces his passing in Sudbury, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the age of 97. Son of the late Elzear and late Françoise (née Viens) Viau. Cherished husband to the late Rita Viau (née Nadeau) and the late Thérèse Viau (née Chartrand). Loving father to David Viau (late Jo-Anne), Lorraine Landry (Lucien “Red”), Aurore Ribalkin (John), Muriel Schmidt (Kelvin) and Monicque Viau. Beloved grandfather to Jennifer, Tonya, Philana, Nadia, Donna, Russell, Ethan, Felicity, Jennifer, Katelynn and great-grandfather to 14 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Leona Wieseger (Fred), Lionel Viau (late Doris), Ernest Viau (Anne) and Michel Viau. Predeceased by his sisters Albina Bertrand (late Nelson) and Marie-Rose Chiasson (late Gemille). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Eddie was a skilled welder and a master in the art of woodworking. He has left behind a true legacy of many clocks and beautiful pieces of furniture. And dad, by the “hair of a dog” we hope you found the right galaxy to be with mom. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
